**Please Note!**
I LOVE fanart, but would appreciate if you avoided cleavage, yaoi or swearing with any of my characters! I don't do it, and they don't either.

Ask me about anything! I make a point to reply to every comment, unless it's rhetorical, of course.
Might as well, right?
I joined in 2007 because shallowpelt told me to, XD. We were in the same gifted program through secondary school, and hit it off really well together.
These are some of my first posts:

I literally scanned all my sketchbooks and uploaded them. I experimented with digital, but it was just mouse drawings, like the one above.
I kept up with that for a few years, and discovered OCTs and Memes (I still try to do memes to push my art)

In 2011, I got into the Illustration program at BYU-I, and my art exploded! I learned so much! (A lot of it had to do with head drawing that I took from Leon Parson)

I did my own art and school art, and really fell in love with colour.

I tried a portfolio and did fanart:

I discovered a love of watercolour:
On the Wing by Doodlee-a My Home by Doodlee-a Oh Deer by Doodlee-a
I took Entertainment Illustration from Josh Abbeglen and Narrative Illustration from Dan Burr, and my Shifted story became a reality instead of just in my head.

And I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in July, making a real portfolio and website, and expanding my internet presence (

Hey cousin. Checked out your portfolio and art website. Nice work. I'm currently trying to up my skill as well, so I can paint some nice covers for my books. Maybe if I get some work up here you can tell me where I'm doing good and where I need improvement. I need lots of improvement. By the way, this is Cuyler.

Oh hey! Thanks!

I can definitely take a look! Are you interested in digital or traditional? I would also highly recommend taking some figure drawing classes to get a good handle on anatomy, because that is one of the most common things on books. Draw from life as much as you can too. Draw people in a mall or a park or at an airport. See how they interact with the world around them and find poses that are natural. Whatever you do, don't stop drawing!
