He loves to wander and explore, and likes poking things to see what they're made of. He also loves his 'claws' (kind of like brass knuckles. ) and he likes analyzing different poisons. He also loves the sun and sand-surfing
He doesn't like water, and can't swim very well at all. He's not too fond of heights, or of overly fluffy things.
PERSONALITY:
Chardon appears aloof and distant, but he is actually very curious and inquisitive. Sometimes it can go to the point of great annoyance, as he tries to understand everything, uncomfortable or not. He won't talk initially, but if he knows you, then he chatters a bit, though it's usually questions.
Chardon is also very tall (about 6', which is odd for a Sandslash) and so can be intimidating to people. He may not always correct their assumptions either.
HISTORY
Chardon grew up on the Destiny Islands (ironic, since he hates water) and apprenticed under an inventor. He made his own weapons, as well as his plated cloak that protects against ranged attacks, similar to chain mail. After moving out of his parents' (his dad was a Zoroark, his mom a Sandshrew) home, he took up work as a blacksmith and mainly worked on shoeing horses and minor fixes on buckles and anything metal.
He was happy with his life, and then the heartless started to arrive. They started in small numbers, and the local police had no problem. Soon, however, the problem got bigger and Chardon was recruited in to make as many weapons as he could for anyone willing to fight the monsters. Chardon tried everything he could think of, but his weapons were not good enough to stop the enemies. The monsters had soon overwhelmed most of his home. It was during one of their attacks that they came into his smithy. In desperation, Chardon grabbed a hot iron bar from the furnace and charged the creatures. He fought for a while, and his piece of metal glowed with more than heat, but before he could see why it was so effective, he was plunged into shadows.
Chardon woke in Traverse Town with no idea how he got there. As he stumbled through one of the alleys, he was again attacked by the shadow creatures. This time, however, he was able to summon what he later learned was a keyblade and beat the monsters back before collapsing at the church in exhaustion. He was then able to find other gjinkas who could weild a keyblade and began to work with them.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Chardon has a Rapidash as a pet, because he does like riding, and a fire horse is perfect for a blacksmith! He also likes to act mysterious with his cloak, and sweep it dramatically. Oh yeah, and his forearms are much bulkier than his biceps because it keeps more consistent with the pokemon design, and it comes from his smithing. The boots are good and hard for kicking (think steel-toes) and they have spurs on the back for riding. And finally, he is very sensitive about his tail, and he got teased about it when he was little. He is still insanely jealous of those who have pretty tails.
