Shifted: Shade

Enter the villain!
Shade is the villainous shadow of Tyler and the primary antagonist of Shift. Caused by the combination of several accidents, he amplifies Tyler’s base emotions and darker nature. Whereas Tyler still has some semblance of good, Shade is literally the shadow of that. His hood is made up of shadows, and he gains height the way a shadow on the ground is stretched.
Shade travels through shadows, a very cold and dark way to travel, and he can inhabit and possess other people’s shadows. While he can still move around in the light, he is paler and weaker. He doesn’t speak often, and when he does, it is usually as a shadow, or when he is completely shrouded. His eyes appear dead, but sometimes… if you look at his shadow, you may see where the true expression lies.
While Shade is more malicious than Tyler, he still has Tyler’s base emotions and desires, and so that has transferred to the affection of Tara and Shift (he knows they are the same person). Where Tyler wouldn’t make his presence known when stalking, Shade is more likely to take action, though he still knows how to stay in the shadows, and is extremely stealthy.
Shade wears bracers on his arms to block Shift’s claws (since she can give some pretty nasty scratches) and he wears gloves so that he never leaves fingerprints. He also wears them because the shadows are so cold. Shade does have the ability to take people with him through shadows, but if he keeps them too long in the shadows, they will suffocate from lack of oxygen.
Physically, he is not built, and his main attacking strength comes from underhanded moves and tricks to the opponent. The one person he can’t stand is Michael, because Michael will use those moves right back at him, if he catches Shade, that is. He’s not strong, but he is extremely fast and able to wriggle out of situations fairly easily.
